Ingredients that you need to make Corn dogs
1 Cup Yellow cornmeal
1 Cup of all-purpose flour
1/4 Cup of sugar
3 1/2 teaspoons of Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
A hint of black pepper
1 Cup of Milk
1 egg
16 Frankfurters
How to prepare Corn Dogs?
- In a medium bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the milk and egg until a batter forms.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 190 degrees C.
- While the oil is heating, pat the frankfurters dry and insert a wooden skewer into each one.
- Roll each frankfurter in the batter until well coated.
- Carefully place 2 or 3 coated frankfurters at a time into the preheated oil.
- Fry until lightly browned, about 3 minutes, turning occasionally for even cooking.
- Once cooked, remove the corn dogs from the oil and drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
